Riverside Christian Academy has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Lancaster Christian Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Riverside Christian Academy was beaten by the Minutemen 82-50. Riverside Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-25.
Meanwhile, Lancaster Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 74-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite their loss, Lancaster Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Josh Whitt, who scored 32 points along with five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Whitt is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Albert Clark, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds.
Riverside Christian Academy's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lancaster Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
Riverside Christian Academy was taken down by the Knights 70-37 in their previous matchup last Thursday. Can Riverside Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
