The Gary Bobcats lost against the Joaquin Rams back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Gary took a 31-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Joaquin. Gary has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Joaquin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ke'maria Wilson, who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds and 5 steals. Wilson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Ellie Anglin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 3 steals.
Gary's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Joaquin, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Gary will take on Cushing at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday. As for Joaquin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Sabine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
