There's no place like home for the Manchester Red Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 63-58 victory over RHAM on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Manchester's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tiara Tyson, who scored 23 points along with two steals and two blocks. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Tyson has scored at least a third of Manchester's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Ryan, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 1 assist.
Manchester's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for RHAM, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Enfield at 5:15 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Enfield is ranked 45th, while Manchester is ranked 61st). As for RHAM, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Maloney at 6:45 p.m.
