The Classical Academy had won two straight road games  and  Kelsey Peterson did her part to make it three on Monday. The Titans took down the Pomona Panthers 27-12  for which the team can thank  Peterson, who threw for 187 yards and four  TDs. Peterson is  crushing it when it comes to  passing touchdowns: she's   passed for at least four every time she's  taken the field this season.
 One reason for the win was The Classical Academy's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Reagan Harter and  Lauren Pantusa, who racked up all four sacks between them.  Jerrica Thompson was another major factor on D,  making ten total tackles and snagged  three  interceptions.
 Although Pomona took the loss, they still got scores from  Laurel Elliott and  Timberly Martinez.
The Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pomona, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.
 The Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  19-18  defeat against Doherty on the 10th. As for Pomona, they will look to defend their home field  on  the 16th against Littleton  at 7:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Panthers 11.5, the Lions 10.4) so any  points scored will be well earned.
