The El Capitan Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Window Rock Fighting Scouts at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. El Capitan will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
El Capitan barely beat Ash Fork/Seligman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 19-1 win on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by 12 runs or more this season.

Kendall Hammon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. El Capitan is undefeated when Hammon allows one or fewer earned runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Hammon was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, El Capitan got a massive performance out of Aryck Hammon, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Hammon is becoming a predictor of the Eagles' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Avery Hammon was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
El Capitan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Window Rock came up short against Gallup two weeks ago and fell 10-6.
Landyn Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Adriano Westbrook, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
El Capitan pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Window Rock, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Both El Capitan and Window Rock just can't seem to miss. The Eagles have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Window Rock struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
