Seaside is 9-1 against Scappoose since March of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Seaside Seagulls will head out on the road to challenge the Scappoose Indians at 5:30 p.m. Scappoose took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Seaside, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Seaside earned a 53-44 win over Astoria. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Seaside.
Meanwhile, Scappoose pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Astoria 75-69. Scappoose has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Scappoose had strong showings from Colton Sprenger, who scored 14 points along with two steals, and Elijah Greenan Biggs, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Drew Butler, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
Seaside's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Scappoose, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Seaside was able to grind out a solid win over Scappoose in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 49-41. Does Seaside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Scappoose turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
