Licking Valley is 0-10 against Watkins Memorial since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Panthers will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Licking Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Watkins Memorial's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Licking Valley took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Tri-Valley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Scotties on Saturday, sneaking past 5-3.

Tori Baughman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emory Whisner, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Penick, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Licking Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-Valley struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Watkins Memorial lost 15-3 to Lancaster on Saturday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Watkins Memorial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sierra Fuchs, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.
Licking Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Watkins Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Licking Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Watkins Memorial struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
