The Tavares Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 58-19 loss at the hands of The Villages Charter. Tavares has struggled against The Villages Charter recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Zion McRae, who scored 26 points along with 7 steals for The Villages Charter. That makes it two consecutive games in which McRae has scored at least 25% of The Villages Charter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evah Watterson, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals.
Tavares' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for The Villages Charter, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tavares will challenge Mount Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Villages Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mount Dora Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 4th.
