Despite the loss, Ignite Athletics still got an impressive performance from Charlie Hanks, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Hanks has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Spencer Boyce was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Ignite Athletics dropped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home. As for Varsity Opponent, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 365-1298-2.
Ignite Athletics and the Lions will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Varsity Opponent will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the at 6:40 p.m. on February 3rd. Veritas Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 371 points over their last six matches.
