The Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks will be home for the holidays to greet the Montgomery Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tamalpais comes in on five and Montgomery on six.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tamalpais beat Archie Williams 56-51. Given Tamalpais' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Archie Williams is ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Montgomery scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Redwood by a score of 64-51.
Tamalpais' victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Montgomery, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Tamalpais beat Montgomery 60-53 when the teams last played back in December of 2019. Will Tamalpais repeat their success, or does Montgomery have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
