After each having a week off, the Bishop Kenny Crusaders and the Wakulla War Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bishop Kenny's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.
Two weeks ago, Bishop Kenny humbled Providence School with a 42-10 victory. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Bishop Kenny's run defense was locked in: Providence School could only muster 1.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Gunnar Rogers for the heroic effort on defense: he. Bishop Kenny's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.2.
Meanwhile, Wakulla came up short against Gadsden County last Friday and fell 28-20. The War Eagles gained 88 more yards on the day, but it was the Jaguars that made the best use of them.
Bishop Kenny will have to contain Owen Klees as he made an impact in Wakulla's last game. He threw for 266 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 51 yards and one score. Wakulla's leading receiver Jayden Jean was Klees' top target yet again, picking up 86 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Bishop Kenny's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.3 points on average over those games. As for Wakulla, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
The upcoming matchup will be a clash of competing strengths. Bishop Kenny has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 164.4 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, Wakulla has preferred to attack from the air: they average 273.7 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Bishop Kenny took a serious blow against Wakulla in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, falling 52-24. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Crusaders were down 38-17.
