Osceola is 10-0 against the Storm since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Osceola Kowboys will look to defend their home court against the Celebration Storm at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Osceola's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Storm have been banged up by 16 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Osceola earned a 53-45 victory over the Bulldogs.
Osceola's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Randy St. Charles, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points St. Charles has scored all season. Jordan Mundle was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Celebration had to suffer through a rough 79-50 loss at the hands of the Grenadiers. While losing is never fun, Celebration can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Grenadiers are ranked 187th).
Despite their defeat, Celebration saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Andy Ndambo, who scored 18 points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jedaiah Sankitts, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
The victory got Osceola back to even at 11-11. As for Celebration, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Osceola have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Celebration struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.3 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything came up roses for Osceola against the Storm in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 71-34 win. Does Osceola have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Storm turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
