Veritas Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wallkill Valley Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. Veritas Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
In what's become a running theme this season, Veritas Christian Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 61-14 win over Lacordaire Academy on the road. Veritas Christian Academy pushed the score to 40-11 by the end of the third, a deficit Lacordaire Academy had little chance of recovering from.
Madelyn Seifert and Amya Cuddon were among the main playmakers for Veritas Christian Academy as the former almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds and the latter scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds. It was the first time this season that Seifert scored 15 or more points. Kayleigh Jeltema was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Wallkill Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 62-49 to Vernon.
Veritas Christian Academy's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2. As for Wallkill Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.
Veritas Christian Academy took a serious blow against Wallkill Valley when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 71-24. Can Veritas Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
