The Coronado Dons struggled with offensive rebounds on Thursday (the Combs Coyotes had 1500% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Coronado falling 38-22. They have not had much luck with Combs recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Coronado's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ariel Douglas, who scored 4 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 steals. Douglas hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games.
Combs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Heather Jo Bush out in front who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jalynn Washington, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Combs, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3.
Coronado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Combs will head out on the road to face off against Shadow Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
