The KIPP Austin Brave Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 57-46 to IDEA Montopolis. KIPP Austin Brave has not had much luck with IDEA Montopolis recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
IDEA Montopolis found their leader in underclassman Damarion Fisher, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Fisher has scored at least a third of IDEA Montopolis' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Georgio Hernandez, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
KIPP Austin Brave's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for IDEA Montopolis, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP Austin Brave will face off against Wayside: Sci-Tech at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Wayside: Sci-Tech is on a three-game streak of home losses, KIPP Austin Brave a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for IDEA Montopolis, they will head out on the road to square off against IDEA Kyle at 6:45 a.m. on Friday. IDEA Montopolis is facing IDEA Kyle at the right time seeing as IDEA Kyle is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
