Gerstell Academy entered their tilt with the St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Gerstell Academy came out on top against St. John's Catholic Prep by a score of 56-47 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Gerstell Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Gerstell Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eniyah Stinnette led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stinnette has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiara Hardy, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cayenne Pigeon, who scored 17 points. Nadia Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Gerstell Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for St. John's Catholic Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

St. John's Catholic Prep is coming into the matchup with four straight defeats at home, meaning Severn School will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
