Greensburg Central Catholic hasn't had much luck against Serra Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Centurions will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Greensburg Central Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Ellis with a sharp 16-1 victory on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Centurions, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Julianna Saxion made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Greensburg Central Catholic got a massive performance out of Madelyn Bova, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those RBI marked the first that Bova has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Keller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.
Greensburg Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .870. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Serra Catholic never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past Ellis 16-0. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Giana Foster made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Foster was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Johanna Domek was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Carper, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
The victory got Greensburg Central Catholic back to even at 4-4. As for Serra Catholic, their record is now 8-5.
Greensburg Central Catholic suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Serra Catholic when the teams last played on April 14th. Can the Centurions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
