Deming added to the longest winning streak in 4A District 3 this week by beating Cathedral, 41-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Deming took down the Fighting Irish 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ismail Garrett ran for 149 yards in the win.
Deming's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. David Padron has thrown for 309 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Jerome Sandoval has 18 catches for 365 yards.
Fernie Holguin's team's Garrett is a mere 10 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 95 carries Garrett has put up 990 yards this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Santa Teresa takes on Centennial. As it stands, the Desert Warriors are in third, while the Hawks are in second.
Centennial and Ruidoso played the most contested game in the league this week, with Centennial eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory.
