Basketball Recap: Tri Skates Past Centerville with Ease

Tri won the last time they faced Centerville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tri Titans took their game with ease, bagging a 62-27 victory over the Centerville Bulldogs. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 31 points or more this season.

Tri was led to victory by Kenley Cornelius and Jillian Chew. Cornelius went 6 of 8 on her way to 17 points, while Chew went 6 for 14 en route to 15 points along with six steals and five boards. Chew has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nakaya Cridge, who posted four points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks.

Tri smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

Tri's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Centerville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri has already played their next game (against Winchester Community), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Centerville has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Union.
