The Windsor Wizards will square off against the Mead Mavericks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Windsor knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Mead likes a good challenge.
Windsor's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Greeley West with a sharp 12-0 win. Considering the Wizards have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Asieli Rigby looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Windsor let Nico Vela and Chris Valerio run wild. Vela went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Valerio went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave Vela a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jerry Calderon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Windsor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Mead fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Silver Creek on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raptors by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Mavericks have lost by just one run.
Windsor pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Mead, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
Windsor beat Mead 6-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Do the Wizards have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mavericks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
