There's no place like home for Farina South Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Dieterich Movin Maroons by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Farina South Central easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17.

Kinlee Thompson paced Farina South Central's offense, picking up six kills. Thompson got some help from River Yingst and her ten assists. Sophie Wodtka controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Farina South Central's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Dieterich, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farina South Central will venture away from home to challenge Wayne City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dieterich, they will head out to take on Patoka at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
