Pleasant Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Red Bluff recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Vikings will head out to face off against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Pleasant Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Pleasant Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Enterprise on Monday as they made off with a 14-2 win. The Vikings not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 7, 2024.

Alissa Snipes made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Elyse Hayes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carisma Ta'Amai, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Pleasant Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Red Bluff had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Enterprise 16-2 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Spartans brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Natalie Newport was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Newport was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlinn Tucker, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Ariana Calderon was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Pleasant Valley pushed their record up to 8-5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Red Bluff, their record now sits at 7-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Pleasant Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Red Bluff struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Pleasant Valley took their win against Red Bluff in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
