The Lanham Christian Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Calverton 103-33 at home. That 70 points margin sets a new team best for Lanham Christian this season.
Lanham Christian found their leader in underclassman Brandon Woodard, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Woodard has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakari Wilson, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lanham Christian's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points per game. As for Calverton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Coincidentally, Lanham Christian and Calverton will both be playing King's Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Calverton will host King's Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lanham Christian will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
