Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lugoff-Elgin). They took down the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets 59-42 on Tuesday. The Demons pushed the score to 41-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Diamond Hornets cut but never quite recovered from.

Lugoff-Elgin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braylen Mumford, who posted 11 points and four steals. Jernigan Williams was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points.

Lugoff-Elgin's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-2. As for Lower Richland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Lugoff-Elgin won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Central at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lugoff-Elgin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lower Richland, they will look to defend their home court on December 17th against Darlington at 7:30 p.m.
