The Fishers Tigers posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They had just enough and edged Brownsburg out 40-38. Given Fishers' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Brownsburg is ranked 64th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Talia Harris was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Dickman, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Fishers is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Brownsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
Fishers' homestand continues as they prepare to take on Carmel at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Brownsburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pike at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
