Basketball Recap: Union County Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Brooke Hunt and Heaven Scott

Union County lost against Oak Hall back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Union County Fightin' Tigers fell 40-27 to the Oak Hall Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Fightin' Tigers have lost by exactly 13 points.

Union County's loss came despite strong showings from Heaven Scott and Brooke Hunt. Scott posted nine points and four steals, while Hunt earned 11 points. Scott is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Hall to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabella Gloriod, who had 11 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Miller, who posted seven points along with eight steals and five boards.

Union County dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Oak Hall, their record now sits at 6-2.

Union County and Northside Christian Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Union County is facing Northside Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Northside Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Oak Hall will take on Lafayette in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
