Mishawaka came tearing into  Friday's  game with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Northridge Raiders 35-20. That's more bragging rights for the Cavemen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Kadyn O'Neal was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 188 yards and four  scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. That's the most  rushing touchdowns  he has posted since back in September of 2024.  Landon Snyder also helped out as he racked up 110 rushing yards.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mishawaka was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 338  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge only  rushed for 182.
 Despite the  defeat, Northridge saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Jake Scholl threw for 125 yards and three  touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards.  Austin Horn helped out on the ground, rushing for 86 yards.
Mishawaka's record is now 5-1. As for Northridge, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the  loss, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Mishawaka has already played their next matchup,  a  42-21  win against Warsaw on the 3rd. As for Northridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  42-7  victory against Wawasee on the 3rd.
