Gatewood entered their tilt with Augusta Prep Day on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Cavaliers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Considering Gatewood have won five matches by more than five goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Augusta Prep Day from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kathy Mendez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Gatewood pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Augusta Prep Day, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8-2.

Gatewood didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Trinity Christian on the 3rd. As for Augusta Prep Day, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Thomson at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th.
