Even though the Wilmington Wildcats have not done well against the Lisle Lions recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Wilmington took down the Lions 52-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wilmington.
Wilmington was led to victory by Ryan Nelson and Kyle Farrell. Nelson scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Farrell scored 20 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farrell has scored all season. Lucas Rink was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Wilmington is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Lisle, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.
Wilmington will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Gardner-South Wilmington is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Lisle, they will head out on the road to face off against the Sentinels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
