West Milford is 1-9 against the Indians since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The West Milford Highlanders will head out on the road to take on the Wayne Valley Indians at 4:00 p.m.
Last Thursday, West Milford came up short against the Lancers and fell 47-37.
The losing side was boosted by Avery Vacca, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Adison Arciniega, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Wayne Valley beat the Cutters 47-41 on Thursday.
West Milford's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Wayne Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season.
West Milford didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Indians in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 41-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Milford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
