Lakeside School put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They put the hurt on the South Choctaw Academy Rebels with a sharp 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Demetrius Hardnett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Lakeside School got a massive performance out of Trent Hayes, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brayden Vachon, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lakeside School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Lakeside School is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, South Choctaw Academy fell to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside School will take on Macon-East Montgomery Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Macon-East Montgomery Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Lakeside School's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Choctaw Academy, they will challenge Patrician Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Patrician Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
