Brockton took care of business in their home opener. Everything went their way against Lexington on Friday as they made off with a 42-14 win. Lexington can consider this payback for the 28-42 loss they dealt Brockton the last time the teams encountered one another.
Brockton's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Lexington came up with 8 to make it 28-8 heading into the break. The Brockton defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. This was the first game for both teams, giving Brockton a 1-0 record and starting Lexington off at 0-1.
Next week Brockton take on Natick at 6:00 PM. Lexington will look to defend their home turf against Concord-Carlisle at 6:00 PM.
