The Payson Longhorns can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Globe 83-37 on the road. Payson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Payson can attribute much of their success to Chloe Hancock, who scored 23 points along with seven steals. That's the first time this season that Hancock scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzy White, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Payson has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Globe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Payson on the road again on Tuesday and play against Holbrook at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Holbrook focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 last Saturday. As for Globe, they will be playing at home against Benjamin Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Benjamin Franklin and Globe are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
