Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Comes Up Short

St. Mary's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to LaGrange Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against LaGrange Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Tuesday.

While St. Mary's Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into LaGrange Academy's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-23.

St. Mary's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for LaGrange Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, St. Mary's Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Rock Springs Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. As for LaGrange Academy, they will venture away from home to take on St. Anne-Pacelli at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Vikings have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
