The Webberville Spartans suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by Dansville 61-31. While losing is never fun, Webberville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 474th, while Dansville is ranked 142nd).
It was another big night for megan zeitz, who scored 22 points along with seven steals and six assists for Dansville. That makes it six consecutive games in which zeitz has scored at least a third of Dansville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryker Graf, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds.
Webberville's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.8 points per game. As for Dansville, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Webberville will be playing at home against Chesaning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dansville, they will head out on the road to square off against Fowler at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fowler is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
