Douglas County West came out on top against Louisville on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run second inning. The Falcons blew past the Lions 16-2. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Jack Landauer was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Landauer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mason Pettit was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Jackson Schuiteman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Douglas County West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Louisville only posted an OBP of .143.
Malcolm hit Wayne with a five-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils lost 11-4 to the Clippers. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Clippers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Wayne saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Wayne now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Douglas County West, their record is now an identical 3-4.
