The Lima Senior Spartans were the 45-37 winner over the Bowling Green Bobcats when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Lima Senior fell just short of Bowling Green by a score of 41-39.
Lima Senior's lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Maisie Strawser, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mallory Gipson, who scored 3 points along with 14 rebounds.
Lima Senior's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bowling Green, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Lima Senior will head out on the road to face off against Bowsher at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bowling Green, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maumee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
