South Adams' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Charlee Bollenbacher, who had 15 digs and one assist, and Laney Trausch, who had 21 assists and 12 digs. That's the most digs Bollenbacher has posted over her last nine matches.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian lost 3-0 to Manchester on Thursday.
Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-15.
Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for South Adams, their victory bumped their record up to 22-8.
South Adams couldn't quite get it done against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as they fell 3-1. Can the Starfires avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
