The Plainfield Quakers typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the Center Grove Trojans proved too difficult a challenge. Center Grove came out on top against Plainfield by a score of 54-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Center Grove also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Center Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aubrie Booker led the charge by scoring 12 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Rachel Wirts, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Center Grove and bumps their season record up to 9-1. As for Plainfield, they bumped their record down to 8-2 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Center Grove's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bloomington South at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Bloomington South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Center Grove is ranked sixth). As for Plainfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Noblesville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
