If Gholson were feeling good off their 63-30 takedown of Garner last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Gholson was beaten by Aquilla 76-31 on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gholson has scored all season.
Gholson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaron Salinas, who scored nine points, and Lane Kunkel who scored nine points.
Gholson's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Aquilla, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.
After both having extra time off, Gholson and Jonesboro will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Aquilla will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Frost at 12:15 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
