In what's become a running theme this season, the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 57-27 win over Bayfield on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Montezuma-Cortez as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Savannah Haselroth, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Markylla Jones, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
The victory got Montezuma-Cortez back to even at 6-6. As for Bayfield, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
