Windham is 8-0 against Tourtellotte since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Windham Whippets will be playing at home against the Tourtellotte Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Windham will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
In what's become a running theme this season, Windham gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Griswold 62-19 at home. Given Windham's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Griswold is ranked 148th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Windham relied on the efforts of Asihja Harris, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Aniya Jenkins, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Jenkins hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Lebiszczak, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Tourtellotte beat Parish Hill 34-26 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Tourtellotte.
Windham's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Tourtellotte, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Everything came up roses for Windham against Tourtellotte in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 as the team secured a 82-27 victory. Will Windham repeat their success, or does Tourtellotte have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
