After flying high against the Giles County Bobcats on Monday, the Spring Hill Raiders came back down to earth. Spring Hill suffered a tough 68-46 loss at the hands of Summertown on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Spring Hill in their matchups with Summertown: they've now lost seven in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Spring Hill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeycelyn Brashear. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Brashear scored a full 34.8% of Spring Hill's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayzia Harrison, who scored 10 points.
Spring Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Summertown, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring Hill will take on Marshall County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marshall County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Summertown, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Moore County at 6:00 p.m.
