The Bruni Badgers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 71-33 loss at the hands of San Isidro. Bruni lost against San Isidro in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 61-48 score last time.
San Isidro was led to victory by Andy Lane and Edward Garcia. Lane dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Garcia dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Lane hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Alvarez, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Bruni has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for San Isidro, their victory bumped their record up to 11-19.
Bruni will be playing in front of their home fans against Lasara on Tuesday. Bruni is coming into the match with three straight defeats at home, meaning Lasara will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for San Isidro, they will head out on the road to face off against San Perlita at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Perlita has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
