The Miller Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 67-52 to Crooksville. Miller lost against Crooksville in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 71-44 score last time.
Miller lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryce Dorsey, who scored 17 points. The game was Dorsey's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Corey Elson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Miller has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Crooksville, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miller will take on Grove City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grove City Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Crooksville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Philo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Philo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
