In other batting news, David Livingston was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Even though they lost, Severn School didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 12 strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conifer only tossed seven.
Conifer made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-4. As for Severn School, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Conifer will be playing at home against Summit at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Conifer will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. As for Severn School, they will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Prairie View at 10:00 a.m. Prairie View is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
