After a string of three wins, the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Monessen by a score of 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Jefferson-Morgan has suffered against the Greyhounds since January 29, 2021.
Jefferson-Morgan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jase Bedilion, who scored 15 points along with seven steals. Huston Guesman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and three steals.
Jefferson-Morgan's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Monessen, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson-Morgan will square off against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Monessen is on the road again on Friday and plays the Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
