After flying high against the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies last Monday, the Easton Area Rovers came back down to earth. Easton Area lost to East Stroudsburg North on the road by a decisive 57-39 margin on Wednesday. Easton Area was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Stroudsburg North apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.
Easton Area lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeremy Henry, who scored ten points. Andrew Hoadley was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
It was another big night for Nate Wilder, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and five assists for East Stroudsburg North. Wilder hasn't dropped below 15points for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Bryceson Dobie, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Easton Area dropped their record down to 6-11 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for East Stroudsburg North, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Easton Area will head out on the road to challenge Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freedom is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for East Stroudsburg North, they will be playing at home against Pocono Mountain West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pocono Mountain West's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
