The Sheldon Huskies will challenge the Franklin Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sheldon will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Sheldon not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 4th (when they won 16-2). They put the hurt on Monterey Trail with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Micah Kennedy made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Franklin ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Monterey Trail 8-7.
Franklin also got a great performance from Leilani Garcia as she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Garcia has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Franklin let Addison Meddings and Micayla Arlotto run wild. Meddings went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Arlotto went 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that Arlotto has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julissa Sandoval, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.
Sheldon's win bumped their record up to 15-5-1. As for Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9-1.
Sheldon beat Franklin 4-1 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
