3A Region IV District 30 recap December 3, 2013
Sinton moved up to 240 from 307 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region IV District 30. The Pirates climbed the ranks as a result of beating Cuero 26-19.
Sinton added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Gobblers, 26-19. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Tyler Handson was a passing and rushing force as the Pirates topped Cuero. He completed 3 passes for 40 yards and also ran for 161 yards.
Marcelino Barajas put up the best numbers through the air as Rockport-Fulton fell to Gonzales. He finished with 5 completions for 84 yards and 1 touchdown. Barajas' favorite target this week was Alex Fahrenthold, who caught 4 passes for 51 yards.
The Pirates lost to the Apaches 56-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Barajas in the defeat.
